Emboss Distress Birthday card

I tried this emboss distress technique that I learned from: http://stamptv.ning.com/ I stamped my butterfly with emboss stamp pad on a white card stock base all over in different directions, then used clear embossing powder, melted with my heat gun, I then used Tim Holtz distress inks(scattered straw) & (broken china) randomly over the whole card front after I used a paper towel to wipe the distress ink off of the embossed butterflies.I then stamped happy birthday onto white card stock, & used my SU oval punch to cut the happy birthday out, then slid Broken china distress ink around the edges. The yellow flower is a revolution die cut, I cut 2 of them out of bright yellow card stock & distressed them with CTMH ink (sunflower)glued them together & also to left top of card.I then pop dotted the Happy birthday to the top of the flower.Hope you enjoy my card, I had fun making this one.

Happy birthday card

Once again I have pulled out my scraps to make yet another Birthday card.Recently I have been buying Martha Stewart punches from Michaels. I use my 40% off coupon to purchase one every month.I LOVE them, so easy to use & yet so elegant a look they give to my cards. The stamp is Stampin Up from some years back, I colored the birds, branches & leaves with my Copic Markers not sure which colors I used as this stamped & colored image was in my scraps.I also used my color box chalk chestnut roan to ink around the edges of card.

My new Gratitude Journal

Right now at our church we're doing a a time to Regenerate. One of the things they are asking of us is to start something new, so I have decided to start a Gratitude Journal. It is an Old Quaker tradition, daily you are to write down one thing you are grateful for. I picked blues & greens, flowers & butterflies. These are some of my favorite things in life.
All of my papers came from DCWV "The Green Tea stack". I used my quickutz die cuts of 2 different butterflies and also mini dragonfly & butterfly die cuts. The green & white polka dot ribbon is from my stash, I never can remember where I get my ribbon from because I can never seem to pass any up.The black epoxy stickers that spell out Gratitude Journal are from creative imaginations.Along the top & bottom of the banner I used my new MS border punch, I think it gives it an elegant touch.
Hope you enjoy my Gratitude Journal!

Simple box birthday card!

I made this card from a tutorial on you tube. Here is the link; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2jCZPyLT9s
This card is for my brother in law Miguel's 40th bday.We are having a surprise party for him on Saturday & I wanted to make something different for him.Hope you like it.I used all my scraps again on this card. It's been lots of fun trying to find exactly the right card stock & designer paper to match up with just scraps, but my scrap drawers are finally going down somewhat.Have a wonderfully blessed weekend.

When you open the card it's a lil box inside.I think I might make some confetti with a quickutz birthday candle die cut to go inside.

House Mouse & Friends Challenge #88-All About Hearts

This card is made with 5x5 white CS.Using pink 5x5 CS on the top of card base. I then  pulled out my Martha Stewart around the page punch (loops heart) & white CS also in 5x5 & punched each corner then proceeded to finish all around my 5x5.Then I made a 3.5x3.5 square of a deeper pink CS & used the (loops heart) on the corners only.I stamped my House Mouse stamp (Make A Wish 02)with Memento tuxedo black ink on a 3x3 piece of white CS.Stamped hearts in a blowing pattern across the 3x3square, to make it look like the mouse was blowing hearts as he was blowing candle out on cupcake.I used my Copic markers B0000,B02,B12,W3,
E30,E11,E93,Y04,R20, & RV21, for all the stamped images.I then matted my 5x5 pink CS onto card base then followed that with the 5x5( loops heart) white CS, then came the dark pink 3.5x3.5 & on top of that came my 3x3 stamped CS.I die cut a heart from same pink CS  on top of card base & pop dotted it onto the cupcake.I then stamped Birthday Wishes onto light pink CS & matted that onto dark pink CS, I also pop dotted this too.I used 4 of the hearts from leftovers from punch image & adhered these to each corner.I made a bow out of baby pink fine ribbon & adhered it to the top of card.Everything on here was from my scraps.Hope you enjoy this card.I had a blast making it.

My New Rubber Stamp Shelves

I bought these 2 shelving units from a local party supply store that is closing down.I paid $10 a piece, these are the exact shelves I had in my mind that I wanted.I painted the inside backs white & touched up the black paint where needed. They fit all my stamps perfectly, my hubby said I don't need anymore because there is no more room.He just doesn't see that I can fit plenty more up here, HEHE.I hope you enjoy this, I was so excited to find these shelves & still am amazed at my luck.My bff told me about store closing around a month ago & I never made it over there, but last week I was nearby & had just made $30 from my cleaning job & decided to go check it out ,soooooo that's how I  happened to have the money for them.

The scalloped circle & other circle are from CM.The designer ppr is from My Mind's Eye.,Happy anniversary stamp is from Sweet Pea Stamps. The green velour ribbon is from my ribbon stash,I couldn't tell you where I bought it because I have an incredible ribbon addiction.I inked around the edges of everything, I love how inking looks on my cards I feel it gives them a finished look. Thanks for coming to see  & I hope you enjoy my card.I will be posting about 2 new shelves I bought & repainted soon.

Thank you Card!

I bought this stamp at a yard sale this past summer.I used CTMH autumn terracotta ink around the edges of card & also around thank you stamp.Around the thank you stamp I matted a terracotta ppr & an olive green ppr from my scrap paper.I used my copic sketch markers on the thank you stamp,YR21 for the flowers,Y02 & RV21 on pot, Y21 for background & YG63 for leaves. The Flower is made from a punch &  DCWV paper, I punched 3 flowers  layered & staggered them different ways,Glued them together & then glued this pearl button on top.I found a large vase full of buttons at a thrift store for 50% off, I couldn't pass it up.You will be seeing quite a few buttons on my upcoming cards, some of them quite attractive & some old fashioned. They remind me of going to my Grandma's & playing with her tin box full of buttons when I was a lil kid.I hope you enjoy.Sorry it's been so long since I posted last. The 2nd half of 2010 was so emotionally sad.But 2011 is going to be incredibly blessed.
