Emboss Distress Birthday card

I tried this emboss distress technique that I learned from: http://stamptv.ning.com/ I stamped my butterfly with emboss stamp pad on a white card stock base all over in different directions, then used clear embossing powder, melted with my heat gun, I then used Tim Holtz distress inks(scattered straw) & (broken china) randomly over the whole card front after I used a paper towel to wipe the distress ink off of the embossed butterflies.I then stamped happy birthday onto white card stock, & used my SU oval punch to cut the happy birthday out, then slid Broken china distress ink around the edges. The yellow flower is a revolution die cut, I cut 2 of them out of bright yellow card stock & distressed them with CTMH ink (sunflower)glued them together & also to left top of card.I then pop dotted the Happy birthday to the top of the flower.Hope you enjoy my card, I had fun making this one.

Happy birthday card

Once again I have pulled out my scraps to make yet another Birthday card.Recently I have been buying Martha Stewart punches from Michaels. I use my 40% off coupon to purchase one every month.I LOVE them, so easy to use & yet so elegant a look they give to my cards. The stamp is Stampin Up from some years back, I colored the birds, branches & leaves with my Copic Markers not sure which colors I used as this stamped & colored image was in my scraps.I also used my color box chalk chestnut roan to ink around the edges of card.

My new Gratitude Journal

Right now at our church we're doing a a time to Regenerate. One of the things they are asking of us is to start something new, so I have decided to start a Gratitude Journal. It is an Old Quaker tradition, daily you are to write down one thing you are grateful for. I picked blues & greens, flowers & butterflies. These are some of my favorite things in life.
All of my papers came from DCWV "The Green Tea stack". I used my quickutz die cuts of 2 different butterflies and also mini dragonfly & butterfly die cuts. The green & white polka dot ribbon is from my stash, I never can remember where I get my ribbon from because I can never seem to pass any up.The black epoxy stickers that spell out Gratitude Journal are from creative imaginations.Along the top & bottom of the banner I used my new MS border punch, I think it gives it an elegant touch.
Hope you enjoy my Gratitude Journal!

Simple box birthday card!

I made this card from a tutorial on you tube. Here is the link; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2jCZPyLT9s
This card is for my brother in law Miguel's 40th bday.We are having a surprise party for him on Saturday & I wanted to make something different for him.Hope you like it.I used all my scraps again on this card. It's been lots of fun trying to find exactly the right card stock & designer paper to match up with just scraps, but my scrap drawers are finally going down somewhat.Have a wonderfully blessed weekend.

When you open the card it's a lil box inside.I think I might make some confetti with a quickutz birthday candle die cut to go inside.
